Royal Golf d'Agadir

Under an eternally blue sky, the Agadir  Royal Golf Club opens its pink-coloured doors onto a deliciously romantic golf course.

It all began when, in 1955, a certain Scottish golf enthusiast, named Wilson, dug a hole in what was then only a field. A few years later, another enthusiast, called Colonel Kamili, continued the work. He designed the nine holes and their triangular setting bordered with geraniums.

The Agadir Royal Golf Club is a par 36 course 3,600 metres long with fairways perfumed by pines, eucalyptus and mimosa, fragrances that blend with the tang of the nearby ocean ... It is a delightful course, but you must beware of the trees and the very dense undergrowth. The greens are broad, well defended b deep bunkers and groups of palm trees that close ofl the angles. The number three hole is particularly challenging, its splendid 469 metres and par 5 requiring particular skill on the second shot, to overcome the impressive water hazard.
After the game, players can meet and discuss their round in the panoramic club house, practically buried in a cascade of bougainvillaea.

Take a talented and imaginative designer, a disciple of Robert Trent Jones, a superb stretch of gently rolling land with abundant growths of eucalyptus punctuated by expanses of water and you will obtain the magnificent Club Méditerranée Dunes Golf Course.

Cabell B. Robinson has incorporated a number of remarkable surprises into these three nine hole par 36 courses. The Eucalyptus, the blue course, is ideal for getting your hand in, but be careful! Hole number 8 is a real gem. Its green suddenly comes into view on the top of a hill surrounded by bunkers. Then, once the effort has been made, comes the reward; a magnificent, uninterrupted view of Inezgane.

The Wadi; the yellow course, needs much more skill. Hole number three, par 5, inspires fear and respect. Its narrow green is guarded by a lake, an embankment, a bunker and a deep depression. Good luck!
For the Tamarisk, the red course, you will need all your clubs and all your best strokes. The ingredients; two lakes, fairways that appear reasonably calm and a moderately-sized eucalyptus wood. The last hole is imposing: a narrow par 5 that climbs uphill through the trees before gently sloping down to the green and the club house.
